Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the IFPE license application financial projections, capital plan, and business model assumptions submitted to CNBV/Banxico.
  • •Serve as senior finance point of contact with CNBV and Banxico on financial, capital, and accounting matters and ensure ongoing regulatory capital compliance.
  • •Build and maintain the IFPE accounting framework aligned to CNBV Criterios Contables, ensuring accurate financial statements.
  • •Own treasury and liquidity management, including segregation of client funds from the IFPE’s own resources per LRITF.
  • •Coordinate external audit activities and deliver regular/ad-hoc financial reporting to the Board, Audit Committee, and Senior Management.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive senior-level finance leadership experience, ideally within a CNBV-regulated financial institution, with preference for regulated payments/e-money/IFPE/fintech.
  • •Direct experience managing regulatory capital, treasury, and financial reporting obligations within a Mexican regulated financial entity.
  • •Proven experience building financial projections and business plans for a license application or similar regulatory process.
  • •Experience engaging with CNBV and Banxico (and/or external auditors) on financial, capital, and accounting matters.
  • •Strong knowledge of CNBV accounting criteria and the minimum capital framework applicable to IFPEs.
