Key Responsibilities

  • •Define end-to-end solution architecture for payment post-processing, including target state and evolutionary delivery.
  • •Create high-quality architecture documentation with options, trade-offs, and recommendations.
  • •Design cloud-native solutions on GCP and on-prem for high-volume payment data and events.
  • •Partner with engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, secure, resilient, and operable.
  • •Embed non-functional requirements (performance, availability, observability, security, compliance) into solution designs.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience as a Solution Architect on large-scale, complex technology programmes, with payments experience strongly preferred.
  • •Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Spanner, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow (and related services).
  • •Strong understanding of modern data platform and distributed systems design, including streaming vs batch trade-offs.
  • •Solid knowledge of payment systems and messaging standards (e.g., ISO 20022; SWIFT/SEPA/CAMT/PAIN/PACS exposure is an advantage).
  • •Excellent communication and stakeholder management, able to align and influence senior leaders with evidence-based recommendations.
