Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and oversee country-level risk management across all risk classes, building local risk governance and ensuring compliance with local regulations, Mashreq Group standards, and international best practices.
  • •Coordinate day-to-day risk activities with HO Risk, supporting MANCO and senior management, and act as focal point for country-level ESG/climate risk matters.
  • •Establish and manage local Risk Management Committee governance (charter, terms of reference, meeting minutes where applicable) and maintain local risk management policies/process notes.
  • •Implement and monitor international risk management frameworks, including Level 3 country risk appetite, and support enterprise risk management and applicable regulatory frameworks (including BASEL).
  • •Oversee operational risk (RCSA design, sample testing, monitoring, escalation/training) and credit administration (portfolio monitoring, offer letters/documentation, limit excess oversight, regulatory reporting support).
