Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the development, design, delivery, operation, and maintenance of the museum’s IT and exhibition networks, infrastructure, and associated systems.
  • •Design, implement, and operate enterprise wired/wireless network infrastructure, managing Cisco core/access switches, wireless access points/controllers, routing, configuration standards, and proactive performance monitoring.
  • •Oversee network and infrastructure security, including FortiGate firewalls, segmentation, secure connectivity/remote access, and coordination of vulnerability remediation with cybersecurity teams.
  • •Manage server, storage, and virtualization platforms (Synology storage environments and Proxmox VE), including patching, backups, lifecycle management, and support for modernization/migrations across on-premises/cloud/hybrid.
  • •Establish monitoring/alerting and backup, recovery, and disaster recovery readiness; manage observability platforms (LibreNMS/ManageEngine/Prometheus/Grafana/Elastic) and lead incident/problem management, vendor management, and infrastructure documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • •Post-graduate degree (Masters/PhD) in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • •8–10 years of network and infrastructure engineering/operations experience, including at least 3 years in a senior, lead, or managerial role.
  • •Strong enterprise networking and infrastructure experience with Cisco, servers, storage, virtualization, network security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • •Experience with platforms including Cisco, FortiGate, Proxmox VE, ManageEngine, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack, OpenVAS, OpenSCAP, CrowdStrike, GitLab, Plastic SCM, and ZeroTier (or equivalents).
