Job Summary

Maintain and repair commercial, industrial, and residential HVACR systems at Keesler AFB. Perform inspections, troubleshoot malfunctions, diagnose issues, and complete repairs and replacements across thermostats, relays, switches, wiring, refrigeration compressors, motors, fans, belts, valves, and coils. Use technical manuals, directives, and diagrams, document daily work orders, and comply with all state, local, federal, and project safety requirements while wearing required PPE.

Key Responsibilities

•Repair, overhaul, maintain, and service HVACR systems for commercial, industrial, and residential equipment.
•Inspect HVAC systems, troubleshoot malfunctions, diagnose problems, and perform appropriate repairs.
•Adjust, repair, or replace thermostats, relays, switches, and air conditioning electrical wiring.
•Service and repair refrigeration components such as compressors, motors, fans, belts, pulleys, evaporators, condensers, receivers, and related valves/controls.
•Document daily work order logs and comply with safety requirements while using required PPE.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalency.
•Valid state driver's license.
•Minimum three (3) years of experience in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration with preventative maintenance operations.
•EPA Universal Certification 608 and an EPA Type I and Type II Refrigerant Card.
•Basic understanding of automatic control monitoring systems, plus experience troubleshooting and repairing chillers and boilers.
