Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and lead the system-level test and validation strategy for robotic home performance across development programmes.
  • •Bridge verification and validation by establishing performance metrics, acceptance criteria, evidence standards, and confidence measures for readiness.
  • •Own evaluation of end-to-end in-home performance (cleaning effectiveness, coverage, docking and dock evacuation, reliability, and behavioural robustness) using simulated home approaches.
  • •Lead internal navigation and behavioural validation with advanced test methods and realistic, high-variance home scenarios; connect robot behaviour to cleaning outcomes using data and telemetry.
  • •Partner with SW, HW, Systems, Tech Development, and Design to triage, drive root cause analysis, validate fixes with repeatable evidence, and replicate capability at supplier/partner sites.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in test, validation, systems integration, or product performance engineering for complex electromechanical, robotic, or autonomous products.
  • •Proven experience defining and leading system-level validation strategy, not just executing existing test plans.
  • •Strong understanding of bridging verification and validation so lab evidence predicts in-home customer performance.
  • •Experience validating end-to-end product performance, including the interaction between software, hardware, behaviour, environment, and customer outcome.
  • •Strong technical capability in root cause analysis, structured problem solving, and evidence-led decision making.
