Job Summary

Operate, administer, and further develop storage infrastructure, including NetApp (ONTAP, Clustered ONTAP) and Ceph storage clusters plus object storage solutions. Diagnose and resolve system and performance issues to support high availability, data security, and compliance. Optimize and automate processes using tools like Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash, while collaborating with internal teams and customers. Support storage concept and technology development from idea through implementation and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate, administer, and develop storage infrastructure (NetApp ONTAP/Clustered ONTAP, Ceph clusters, and object storage such as S3-compatible solutions).
•Analyze, classify, and resolve system disruptions and performance issues to ensure high availability, data security, and compliance.
•Optimize and automate existing technologies and processes using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash.
•Serve as a technical point of contact for internal specialist departments and national/international customers in the service area.
•Develop storage concepts and technologies from idea through successful implementation, including capacity planning and performance analysis/optimization.

Key Requirements

•Experience administering IT system landscapes, ideally with a focus on storage systems (file, block, object).
•Completed IT training/education (IT apprenticeship, IT degree, or comparable qualification).
•Scripting experience, ideally with Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
•Fluent communication in German and English, written and spoken.
•Availability for shifts and a self-driven, team-oriented analytical working style.
