Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the hospital’s complete inventory of biomedical and medical equipment, ensuring installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and safe operation.
  • •Develop and monitor preventive maintenance and calibration schedules; handle corrective maintenance and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • •Oversee equipment performance, reliability, utilization, and service history; ensure proper condemnation, decommissioning, disposal, and replacement processes.
  • •Support equipment procurement and commissioning by coordinating with clinical departments and Procurement, reviewing technical specifications and service contracts, and ensuring required documentation and training records.
  • •Lead and manage biomedical engineers and technicians; oversee vendor/contract management, maintain asset records, monitor budgets/CAPEX needs, and provide KPI and reporting updates.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • •Master’s degree in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering, Healthcare Management, or a related field (advantage).
  • •Experience planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance for medical equipment, including calibration and testing before return to clinical service.
  • •Knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, hospital policies, and manufacturer recommendations for biomedical engineering activities.
  • •Ability to lead, supervise, and develop biomedical engineers and technicians, set KPIs, and manage vendor/AMC performance.
