Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide emergency patient care for inpatient and outpatient cases, practicing under supervision while maintaining high professional performance.
  • •Ensure compliance with medical ethics and CBAHI/JCIA standards, hospital medical by-laws, and Ministry of Health laws and regulations.
  • •Oversee and maintain the emergency room triage system and supervise assigned ER physicians and junior staff.
  • •Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within clinical privileges, assess and refer appropriate patients, and participate in the department on-call rota.
  • •Maintain accurate patient medical records, participate in contingency/disaster planning, quality improvement/infection control, continued medical education, and patient/family education.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduation from an accredited medical school (MBBS) with completion of required training, plus a post graduate/master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • •Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advance Life Support certification as per assigned area.
  • •Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the specialty after obtaining a post graduate degree and being registered.
  • •Current valid license to practice medicine in the specialty and registration with the Saudi Medical Council and/or current license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia as a senior registrar.
  • •Desirable: higher qualifications in the specialty and five (5) years’ experience in the specialty.
