Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive environmental compliance for construction projects (planning through handover), translating legal/standard requirements into project plans and managing corrective follow-ups until approvals are complete.
  • •Communicate EHS requirements and expectations clearly to contractors and designers, and coordinate risk-reduction measures for residual work at handover.
  • •Operate and improve on-site environmental management aligned with contractor control systems (waste, wastewater, chemicals, noise/dust areas).
  • •Conduct audits/inspections of contractor compliance, provide corrective guidance, and promote prevention of recurrence including Lessons Learned.
  • •Evaluate environmental impacts of equipment/facility changes and coordinate required administrative procedures (notifications/permits/reports) and related change management.

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge of relevant Japanese laws/regulations related to EHS and ability to read/interpret them.
  • •Knowledge and practical experience with administrative reporting based on environmental regulations.
  • •Hands-on project experience in environmental areas such as water, air, and energy-related projects.
  • •Skills to analyze data statistically and logically.
  • •Basic knowledge and practical experience with management systems such as ISO14001 and ISO50001.
