•Own and drive mechanical systems and platform development from initial concept through low-rate production.
•Lead technical efforts to define requirements, propose solutions, and establish evaluation/verification methodology for mechanical systems.
•Collaborate with electrical and software disciplines to ensure integrated systems are reliable, flexible, and cost-effective.
•Lead design reviews, conduct analysis, visit vendors, and prototype while implementing hardware test plans.
•Support demonstrations and travel to test sites and vendors as needed; improve team tools, templates, processes, and standards.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of professional experience in a technical engineering role (non-internship).
•Proven CAD skills (NX preferred) and the ability to produce high-quality engineering drawings aligned to industry standards.
•Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in structures, fluids, thermal, and mechanisms.
•Experience with MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape and mechanical prototyping, including machining and shop tools (e.g., welding, soldering).
•BS or MS in mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience), with eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
