Key Responsibilities

  • •Handle first- and third-party claims under the Root Renters policy and third-party property damage claims under Root Auto policies.
  • •Receive and process FNOL for renters, including answering incoming FNOL calls and setting up assignment in Xactanalysis.
  • •Initiate, investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and finalize property damage losses and subrogation demands.
  • •Create accurate repair or replacement estimates from photos and supporting documentation; review supplements and coordinate additional living expenses.
  • •Identify salvage, oversee end-to-end salvage process, find and refer subrogation opportunities, partner with SIU vendors to detect fraud, and provide input to improve claims guidelines and best practices.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 55,000 - 70,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •1+ years of successful experience handling property insurance claims, including writing estimates, reviewing supplements, and negotiating final settlements.
  • •1+ years of experience with XactAnalysis and Xactimate, including XactContents for writing estimates, supplements, and evaluating losses.
  • •Experience handling both desk adjusting and on-site inspections.
  • •Currently licensed as an in-home Adjuster if your state requires it, with ability to obtain and maintain insurance licenses in several states within three months.
  • •Strong professionalism and empathy, attention to detail, and familiarity with claims best practices.
