Job Summary

Lead and grow the Interiors practice for AECOM’s NY Metro Buildings + Places business, setting strategic vision and overseeing day-to-day operations. Own business planning, profitability, and client contract understanding while partnering with Interiors leadership across design, operations, and technical teams. Drive local and regional marketing and RFQ/RFP pursuits, mentor staff, and support recruiting, evaluations, and workload allocation to build a high-performing studio.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide strategic vision and day-to-day administration of the Interiors group, aligning goals and profitability with business plans.
•Develop and execute Interiors marketing strategy locally and regionally, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and growing client relationships.
•Lead RFQ/RFP pursuit strategy, including project approach, scope development, fee preparation, and interview preparation.
•Maintain action plans for Interiors projects, conduct regular review sessions, and support project profitability with budget and schedule guidance.
•Mentor and develop staff through coaching, performance development, evaluations, workload allocation, and participation in recruiting and interviews.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 180,000 - 230,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BS/BA plus 10+ years of related experience with an Architectural and Engineering firm, including at least 2 years in a leadership or practice-building capacity (or demonstrated equivalency).
•3+ years of marketing, design, and/or project management experience for Federal, NYC agencies, transportation, aviation, education, CCRE, or commercial interiors markets.
•Registered/Certified Interior Designer (NCIDQ) or Architect with a current license.
•US citizenship is required for this work.
•Demonstrated ability to grow a practice and meet planned revenue targets.
