Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain knowledge of customs and border protection regulations and other government agency requirements and standards, including upcoming changes.
  • •Coordinate importing activities: transportation, documentation collection, evaluation/retention, invoicing, payment support, and system data maintenance.
  • •Support compliance research and rulings, including binding rulings, scope rulings, post-entry amendments, and CF28/CF29 preparation.
  • •Perform HTS classification and schedule B assignment for merchandise categories, and manage daily information requests for import entry processing.
  • •Support export programs and post-entry document review for customs audits, while collecting and validating product/vendor data and providing compliance reporting and metrics.

Key Requirements

  • •2-3 years of related experience in international trade and compliance, or an equivalent combination of training, education, or experience.
  • •Previous export compliance and experience with foreign classification and managing CBP relationships strongly preferred.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • •Demonstrated experience with document audits and database design, management, and reporting.
  • •Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills with attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
