Key Responsibilities

  • •Control rodent, bird, and insect activity by replacing bait, recording rodent activity, removing nests, installing barriers, and applying insecticides as labeled.
  • •Run the mower, weedeater, and brush hog as needed to maintain the farm.
  • •Safely operate the feed truck and/or the propane truck.
  • •Support additional farm tasks such as assisting contractor vehicles and operating/maintaining equipment and vehicles.
  • •Follow safety policies and PPE requirements, and identify and mitigate safety-related risks.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
  • •Must be willing to achieve and maintain a respirator certification for flock depopulation team and remain clean shaven during scheduled work hours.
  • •Must be willing and able to perform physical job requirements, including safe lifting and use of tools and equipment.
  • •Must follow biosecurity procedures for showering/changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility, and comply with animal welfare and biosecurity guidelines.
  • •Must be able to safely operate farm equipment, including a feed truck and/or propane truck.
