Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify and evaluate new DNA sequencing opportunities through literature review, market analysis, and scientific insight.
  • •Design and execute experiments to assess technical feasibility and sequencing performance.
  • •Develop and validate new library preparation methods to expand the DNA sequencing portfolio.
  • •Scale and productize promising methods into scalable, automated production-ready workflows from proof-of-concept.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide research associates or laboratory technicians as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Ideally a PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; otherwise an undergraduate/advanced degree with meaningful industry experience.
  • •5-10 years of industry experience, depending on relevance of roles and education.
  • •Strong molecular biology and assay development expertise, including demonstrated ability to innovate and develop new molecular biology workflows.
  • •Experience launching products, processes, or scientific technologies, with excellent bench-level laboratory skills.
  • •Experience in sequencing, reagent development, scientific services, or related biotechnology environments; sequencing service providers or reagent companies strongly preferred.
