Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical and professional leadership to the maintenance team and manage engineering aspects of the maintenance process.
  • •Implement PM planning and create/update preventive maintenance work instructions, equipment specifications, and troubleshooting documentation.
  • •Use engineering tools/programs to improve repair effectiveness and continuously improve PMs to increase equipment availability.
  • •Maintain preventive maintenance records/data and publish reviewed information in routine report formats.
  • •Work on cross-functional teams to improve throughput, monitor long-term equipment down issues, and assist/lead equipment improvement projects.

Salary: USD 61,000 - 87,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline plus 3+ years of First Solar technical experience, or 6+ years of technical manufacturing work experience.
  • •Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in engineering or a similar technical discipline (no experience required; technical work experience preferred).
  • •In lieu of degree: 3+ years as a First Solar Maintenance Technician III/MET III/EPT III/Equipment Coordinator III, or Journeyman certification (e.g., machinist/electrician) plus 5+ years at Journeyman level, or 10+ years as a highly skilled technician/specialist.
  • •Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • •Proficient with Microsoft Office and knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and problem-solving tools (7 Steps, DMAIC/6 Sigma).
