Job Summary

Provide technical leadership for the maintenance team and manage engineering aspects of the maintenance process for equipment. Maintain preventive maintenance records, create/update work instructions and equipment documentation, and use engineering tools to improve repair effectiveness. Work with cross-functional teams to improve throughput and equipment availability, streamline PMs, and ensure spare parts availability. Support equipment down issue resolution and provide training to the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical and professional leadership to the maintenance team and manage engineering aspects of the maintenance process.
•Implement PM planning and create/update preventive maintenance work instructions, equipment specifications, and troubleshooting documentation.
•Use engineering tools/programs to improve repair effectiveness and continuously improve PMs to increase equipment availability.
•Maintain preventive maintenance records/data and publish reviewed information in routine report formats.
•Work on cross-functional teams to improve throughput, monitor long-term equipment down issues, and assist/lead equipment improvement projects.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 61,000 - 87,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Associate’s degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline plus 3+ years of First Solar technical experience, or 6+ years of technical manufacturing work experience.
•Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in engineering or a similar technical discipline (no experience required; technical work experience preferred).
•In lieu of degree: 3+ years as a First Solar Maintenance Technician III/MET III/EPT III/Equipment Coordinator III, or Journeyman certification (e.g., machinist/electrician) plus 5+ years at Journeyman level, or 10+ years as a highly skilled technician/specialist.
•Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office and knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and problem-solving tools (7 Steps, DMAIC/6 Sigma).
