Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the physical “Metal” environment from bare metal through Kubernetes.
  • •Operate and evolve cluster networking components (e.g., load balancing, NAT, DNS, CNIs, routing, and cross-cluster communication).
  • •Maintain scheduling and autoscaling for platform workloads.
  • •Maintain Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules for shared CSP resources, including versioning and compatibility.
  • •Partner with Grafana Cloud application teams to understand needs and invest in the right platform capabilities.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience working with distributed systems in production environments.
  • •Hands-on datacenter experience and ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • •Experience operating workloads on Kubernetes, including managing scheduling and autoscaling.
  • •Strong experience with Terraform and/or Crossplane (including maintaining modules/compositions and version/compatibility).
  • •Comfort programming and building internal tools, particularly with Go, Python, and Shell-based workflows.
