Job Summary

Lead land referencing and land access work for major UK and Ireland infrastructure projects, securing land through statutory powers and negotiation. Manage audits and quality assurance for land documentation, integrate land requirements with engineering/planning/environmental strategies, and provide senior advice to clients and project boards on acquisition risks. Key Responsibilities

•Secure land and land access by arranging surveys and building relationships with stakeholders and landowners through statutory powers and/or negotiation.
•Manage land referencing and land access projects, including audits and quality assurance reviews of documentation and processes.
•Integrate land requirements with engineering, planning, and environmental strategies.
•Provide senior-level advice to clients and project boards on land acquisition risks and opportunities, and oversee compliance with statutory processes and legal obligations.
•Lead people management, training programmes, and succession planning within the Land team.

Key Requirements

•Degree or equivalent experience in Geography, Land/Estate Management, Agriculture, or a relevant discipline.
•Experience delivering land referencing, land access, landowner engagement services, and statutory processes on major infrastructure projects.
•Negotiating with landowners and knowledge of the legal process for acquisition of wayleaves/easements/servitudes (desirable).
•Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams across UK and/or Ireland, reducing land risk and advising on land matters throughout the project lifecycle.
•Proven track record in developing Orders and/or acquiring consents and interests in land, with knowledge of relevant legislation.
