Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build cloud systems that host ingestion pipelines, storage systems, and tooling for vehicle telemetry from onboard systems to the cloud.
  • •Normalize telemetry data across flight controllers, vehicle management systems, mission systems, and sensor payloads, and expose it to downstream analysis tools.
  • •Build infrastructure supporting both large-scale batch ingestion of recorded telemetry and low-latency streaming.
  • •Develop extensible telemetry and data architectures that enable integration of bespoke data sources into standardized ingestion frameworks.
  • •Deliver cloud-native capabilities that are edge-compatible for offline/air-gapped settings and support data systems to classified environments.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience with modern lakehouse architectures (Iceberg, Delta Lake), ETL systems (Flyte, Dagster, Airflow, Argo Workflows), and distributed data processing engines (Spark, Trino).
  • •Experience developing and operating high-throughput streaming data pipelines using systems like Spark Streaming, Flink, and Kafka.
  • •Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Rust, and/or Go, with Python and Rust used for core backend services and pipelines.
  • •Experience building and operating cloud systems, including containerization and deployability with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps tools like FluxCD or ArgoCD.
  • •U.S. Person status is required; eligibility to obtain/maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance is desirable.
