Job Summary

Supervise heavy highway construction contracts at the Canastota location by planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to meet timeframes and funding requirements. Review proposals and develop work plans, staffing, and resource allocation across project phases, coordinating recruitment and personnel assignments. Lead and coordinate project personnel to keep work on schedule and within budget while ensuring a safe work environment through compliance with safety policies and PPE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise Heavy Highway Contracts to ensure project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
•Plan, direct, and coordinate designated project activities.
•Review project proposals for schedule, funding limitations, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
•Establish work plans and staffing for each project phase, including recruitment or assignment of personnel.
•Direct and coordinate project personnel to keep progress on schedule and within budget while ensuring safety compliance and PPE adherence.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in Heavy Highway construction supervision (preferably with NYSDOT and Thruway).
•Ability to work both days and nights and be flexible with last-minute schedule, location, and shift changes.
•Must be able to interact with Owners, Consultants, Subcontractors and Suppliers.
•Review project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
•Ensure a safe work environment by overseeing compliance with all safety policies and adhering to the PPE policy.
