Lead mechanical design and development for tactical missile systems in a DoD environment. Key Responsibilities

•Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies for tactical missile systems in accordance with system requirements.
•Lead mechanical engineering teams and collaborate across disciplines including structural/thermal analysis, Materials, Quality, Safety, Supply Chain, Operations, and program leadership.
•Support factory and suppliers with product development, obsolescence management, and troubleshooting domestically and internationally.
•Interface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
•Participate in design peer reviews, conduct trade studies, and ensure the timely completion of technical goals.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience (advanced degree may substitute).
•Technical leadership across the development lifecycle and experience leading trade studies, design, requirements management, and integration/test of mechanical engineering products.
•Experience working across multiple functional/disciplined organizations to resolve technical challenges and develop mechanical data packages.
•Proficiency with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T and ability to interpret technical documentation in production environments.
•U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance (Secret); interim clearance ability required.
