Job Summary

Design and build highly secure secrets management solutions as a technical leader on Salesforce’s Secrets team within Data Security. Key Responsibilities

•Define and lead the technical roadmap and architecture for the core Secrets product, including highly secure multi-cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments for secret storage, access, and distribution.
•Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Tier 0 secrets systems, architecting profoundly scalable, self-healing, zero-downtime access and resolving complex distributed system issues.
•Serve as a domain expert in PKI, X.509, and cryptography, evaluating and integrating emerging technologies for dynamic secret generation, automated key rotation, device identity, and zero-trust authentication.
•Lead R&D to prototype and deploy secure credential delivery, enabling secure real-time and non-real-time peer-to-peer communication across heterogeneous networks with strict access controls and minimal blast radius.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering (Master’s preferred).
•12+ years of hands-on software development experience in a product-based software technology company.
•8+ years of experience developing in public cloud environments (AWS preferred; GCP a plus).
•Strong hands-on programming in Golang, Java, C#, Python, Rust, or C/C++ and experience designing highly available, scalable data tiers using relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
•Advanced cloud-native architecture experience with infrastructure as code, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and distributed networking (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing), plus cloud security/secrets management knowledge (HashiCorp Vault a plus), PKI/X.509, and OWASP principles.
