Job Summary

Lead AECOM’s global desalination practice by setting and executing strategic direction across municipal, industrial, mining, energy, and water security markets. Drive growth through business development, major project pursuits, technical innovation, and strategic partnerships across North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. Lead multidisciplinary teams, provide technical and design leadership for seawater desalination opportunities, and ensure delivery excellence with a focus on water security and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

•Set and execute the strategic direction for AECOM’s desalination practice as part of the global water leadership team.
•Develop and coordinate global desalination market strategy, including seawater desalination technologies and emerging trends.
•Direct and oversee pursuit capture strategy and technical/engineering reviews during pursuit stages, including in emerging markets.
•Lead resource and capability development for the global desalination practice, including recruiting, resourcing strategies, and succession planning.
•Provide project delivery leadership as Design Manager/Design Director and ensure MPD tools and project performance monitoring are implemented on major projects.

Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering; Environmental, Civil or Chemical preferred.
•Several years of leadership experience in the water engineering or professional services industry.
•Extensive knowledge of the global desalination market, including desalination technology, delivery models, and emerging trends.
•Experience delivering desalination (or similar water/wastewater) project/program development, planning, design, and implementation internationally.
•Strong client and potential-client relationships and industry recognition (publications/presentations) related to seawater desalination.
