Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families, including one-on-one counseling, consultation, briefings, and referrals.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials to service members and families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle, including responding to requests for age-appropriate classes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider associate degree plus 4 years' experience or high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
  • •Must hold one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
