Job Summary

Lead First Solar’s corporate development function by building and scaling the inorganic growth engine. Drive M&A and investment frameworks in partnership with the EVP of Corporate Affairs and the ELT, managing complex transactions from opportunity identification through close. Establish governance and phase-gated deal operating models, develop an investment playbook and opportunity pipeline, and advise on org design and post-merger integration readiness across Finance, Legal, Strategy, Operations, and Technology.

Key Responsibilities

•Build, execute, and manage the corporate development function, translating long-term strategic objectives into actionable M&A and investment frameworks.
•Design and implement phase-gated, end-to-end M&A processes and governance frameworks, including stage-gate approvals and documentation standards.
•Build, own, and maintain a Strategic Investment Playbook covering investment thesis, target criteria, deal archetypes, valuation frameworks, and integration principles.
•Develop and maintain a dynamic proprietary opportunity pipeline and market mapping/screening approach for priority growth areas.
•Advise on organizational design and integration readiness, including integration playbooks, cultural alignment, reporting structures, systems integration, and Day 1/Day 100 planning.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 216,600 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
•8–15+ years of relevant experience, including significant time in M&A investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or management consulting.
•Proven record leading/managing complex M&A transactions from origination through close, including deal structuring, financing, and due diligence.
•Deep expertise in opportunity identification, financial modeling, and valuation methodologies (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).
•Ability to communicate effectively with C-suite and board-level stakeholders, including high-stakes investment presentations.
