Job Summary

Serve as the appointed MLRO to oversee AML/CTF governance, ensuring AML/CTF policies and controls are effectively implemented. Review and escalate suspicious activity, manage STR obligations, and act as primary contact for the Financial Intelligence Unit. Lead AML/CTF risk assessments using a risk-based approach, oversee CDD/EDD and transaction monitoring, and ensure life-insurance AML controls across the product lifecycle, regulators, audits, and remediation.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the appointed MLRO in accordance with applicable AML legislation.
•Ensure effective implementation of AML/CTF policies, procedures, and controls, including reporting to senior management and the Board.
•Assess internal alerts, determine reporting obligations, ensure timely STR filing, and act as primary point of contact with the Financial Intelligence Unit.
•Lead AML/CTF risk assessments and oversee CDD, EDD, customer risk rating, transaction monitoring, name screening, and alert handling.
•Oversee AML controls across the life insurance product lifecycle, review complex cases for final decisions, manage regulatory/audit interactions, and ensure remediation of findings.

Key Requirements

•University degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or related field.
•Minimum 5 years of professional experience in AML/CTF or Compliance, preferably in insurance or financial services.
•Proven experience in a senior AML or MLRO role.
•In-depth knowledge of the EU AML regulatory framework and local legislation, AML/CTF risk management methodologies, and life insurance products and risks.
•Experience working with regulators and senior management, including familiarity with Generative AI (ChatGPT, Copilot etc).
