Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive DevEx Delight: own and transform the experience of developers using DeepL APIs by building intuitive self-service experiences, onboarding flows, and advanced customization interfaces
  • •Platform Enablement & Scale: create reusable components, documentation, starter templates, and client libraries (SDKs) to empower customers and ISVs to build AI-enabled products rapidly
  • •Cross-Functional Architecture: act as the API standard-bearer across DeepL, partnering with Enterprise, Core Text, Voice, and Customization teams to ensure consistency, security, and reliability of APIs
  • •Guardianship of Quality & Compliance: implement automated quality gates, contract testing, and monitoring to prevent breaking changes and security vulnerabilities
  • •Product-First API Mindset: design APIs with developers as primary users, focusing on reducing cognitive load, clear abstractions, and stellar documentation

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience designing scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs (Go, Python, Java, C#, or similar)
