Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the lighting design process across all stages and deliverables, typically overseeing consultants and support teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • •Develop and communicate lighting concepts verbally and visually, adapting to client changes and proposing innovative solutions.
  • •Produce tender-stage deliverables including markups, luminaire specifications, control schedules, calculations, BOQ, layouts, and detailed drawings.
  • •Create lighting design documents (e.g., reports and presentations) that clearly communicate technical information.
  • •Support site inspections and commissioning, including defect inspections, creating compliant specifications, and directing/aiming adjustable fittings to set lighting levels.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field, plus a Master’s degree in Architectural Lighting Design (or similar) with full professional qualifications.
  • •Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in lighting design consultancy.
  • •Proficiency with lighting design tools (e.g., Dialux/Relux) and CAD/BIM platforms; presentation software is an advantage.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills to present design ideas verbally and visually.
  • •Ability to work independently and remotely while staying engaged with the core team.
