Key Responsibilities

  • •Carrier strategy & relationship management: Own and develop strategic relationships with carriers, dark fiber providers, and connectivity partners; negotiate MSAs, IRUs, and circuit contracts.
  • •Circuit procurement & delivery: Manage lifecycle of circuit procurement from requirements gathering to contract execution and acceptance testing.
  • •Diverse path engineering & OSP coordination: Ensure physically diverse fiber paths; review KMZ files and conduit documentation; hold carriers accountable to timelines.
  • •Fiber build cycle management: Plan and track fiber construction, coordinate with carriers and authorities, and align connectivity delivery with datacenter milestones.
  • •Backbone & POP strategy: Evaluate POP locations, model capacity needs, and inform where to build backbone topology.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of experience in network capacity planning, carrier relations, circuit procurement, or WAN strategy roles.
  • •Strong working knowledge of fiber infrastructure—conduit systems, splice points, entrance facilities, and route diversity; ability to read KMZ files and evaluate fiber paths.
  • •Experience managing fiber construction projects—permitting, right-of-way, trenching, aerial builds, or lateral construction into datacenters.
  • •Strategic network thinking including POP placement, carrier diversity, topology design, and cost optimization.
  • •Commercial & negotiation acumen: reviewing MSAs, negotiating SLAs and pricing, and evaluating total cost of ownership across multi-year agreements.
