Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the Process Engineer on projects; planning and carrying out the process engineering activities on technically complex projects.
•Develop and review process engineering deliverables including material balances, process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, operating cost estimates, plant layouts and 3-D models, technical specifications, technical evaluations and provide recommendations for equipment purchases.
•Develop process circuit design from analysis and interpretation of test-work program results or plant data
•Participate in process plant HAZOP reviews. Participate in design reviews (model reviews, ergonomics, maintainability) and manage resolution of action items
•Provide metallurgical test work definition, supervision, interpretation and direction.

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
•A minimum of 15 years’ experience in mineral processing and/or hydrometallurgy with at least 10 years’ experience in a projects or consulting environment
•Registered or eligible for registration as a professional engineer in Canada
•In depth technical knowledge of process plant design and operation with the ability to deliver best practice plant design
•Experience in estimating capital and operating costs for metallurgical processes is required
