Job Summary

Support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team by helping ensure regulatory compliance, maintaining process safety and risk management requirements for the ammonia refrigeration system, and supporting environmental permit applications. Track EHS KPIs and assist with employee exposure surveys, manage safety and environmental program support (including asbestos, emergency response, hazardous waste, and air compliance), and help maintain ISO 14001/ISO 45001 adherence through internal audits and incident investigation follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with EHS compliance, reporting to location management as needed, and maintain Process Safety Management/Risk Management Plan requirements for the ammonia refrigeration system.
•Support environmental permitting applications and determine compliance with permits and plans.
•Help track EHS KPIs and assist with employee exposure surveys to ensure timely completion.
•Support safety and environmental programs (safety operational controls, asbestos operations, emergency response, hazardous waste, and air compliance) and help maintain SIPs and EMS.
•Assist with internal audits, incident investigation report monitoring to completion (including action item tracking/closure), and participate in claim reviews as requested.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience (or an equivalent education/experience combination).
•Experience handling multiple assignments, setting goals, and meeting commitments on schedule.
•Ability to work long hours, weekends, and remain in an on-call status when required.
•Occasional travel to collaborate with others.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
