Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as legal lead for privacy and AI matters affecting the platform and internal operations.
  • •Collaborate with Product and Engineering to embed privacy-by-design, responsible AI principles, and risk-based controls across workflows from ideation through launch.
  • •Support AI governance across use-case reviews, risk classification, documentation, transparency, human oversight, model/data governance, incident response, and policy development.
  • •Lead or support DPIAs/PIAs/TIAs, data mapping, retention work, vendor reviews, transfer assessments, and core privacy operations.
  • •Draft and negotiate privacy and AI-related contract terms (e.g., DPAs, SCCs, data use clauses, product terms, vendor provisions, and customer commitments).

Key Requirements

  • •Strong understanding of privacy frameworks, including GDPR, international transfers, processor/controller analysis, vendor governance, incident response, data subject rights, retention, and governance.
  • •Experience advising on AI products, AI governance, or emerging AI regulation, with the ability to turn uncertainty into practical operating guidance.
  • •Ability to communicate complex legal/regulatory issues clearly to non-lawyers.
  • •Experience with workforce and employee data issues across onboarding, payroll, benefits, mobility, offboarding, and cross-border operations (e.g., HR tech, payroll, EOR/PEO, fintech, or regulated B2B SaaS).
  • •Recognized privacy or AI credentials such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or AIGP, plus strong drafting and negotiation for privacy/data/technology terms.
