Key Responsibilities

•Lead Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and design activities for energy storage systems including grid connections and metering
•Collaborate with internal clients to deliver large renewable generation or private wire projects
•Coordinate design assurance, bidding support and project/quality management across multiple projects
•Provide guidance on electrical design, protection and control considerations for HV systems
•Mentor and manage a team of engineers to ensure high-quality delivery across assigned frameworks

Key Requirements

•Experience in the energy sector with consultancy, contractor, equipment manufacturer or electrical utility; suitable experience as FEED designer, detailed design or owner’s engineer
•Strong understanding of renewable generation and energy storage technology, especially battery storage chemistries
•Experience designing HV grid connections, metering, control requirements for battery storage installations (including BESS with renewables)
•Knowledge of grid connection requirements for renewables and energy storage (G59, G99, etc.)
•Good understanding of electrical plant items and control systems (transformers, cables, circuit breakers, HV Protection & Control)
