Key Responsibilities

  • •Run GDPR compliance operations end-to-end, including data subject requests and maintaining core documentation like the registry of processing activities, DPAs, and privacy policy.
  • •Produce compliance artifacts as needed (including DPIAs and LIAs) and keep documentation accurate and current.
  • •Embed privacy and security compliance in product development by partnering with ML and tech teams to ensure compliant data processing and server-side practices by design.
  • •Monitor privacy regulation developments (GDPR and other relevant foreign privacy laws), assess impact, and proactively brief teams.
  • •Own day-to-day commercial contracting for sales, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating sales agreements; support the Head of Legal on additional matters like trademark registrations and corporate/labour/public affairs.

Key Requirements

  • •3 to 5 years of legal experience in data protection/privacy (not counting internships), from a top-tier or tech-focused law firm, in-house role at a tech company, or both.
  • •Experience drafting compliance documentation including DPAs, DPIAs, and LIAs.
  • •Comfort independently reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial and sales contracts.
  • •Master’s degree in law; bar admission is a plus but not required.
  • •Fluency in French and English for drafting, negotiating, and operating in both languages; ability to work credibly with technical teams (ML and infrastructure).
