Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead day-to-day project management and delivery of various UK highway schemes.
  • •Apply advanced engineering concepts to unique engineering problems and seek innovation in design delivery.
  • •Ensure projects are delivered to budget, programme, technical standards, and meet QA, CDM, sustainability, and HSE requirements.
  • •Manage processes to resolve technical issues and risks in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  • •Provide line management, mentoring, and guidance to team members (up to 15 staff) and support discipline head reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Comprehensive knowledge and 5+ years of UK highway design experience (road geometry, road restraint systems, site clearance, pavement, signage, and road markings).
  • •Lead and manage stakeholders, with demonstrable experience successfully leading a team.
  • •Direct and check use of relevant design software including Civil 3D, Open Roads, MX, PDS/Key Line and Sign, AutoCAD, and ProjectWise.
  • •Demonstrable experience of resource and project management, including delivery planning for multiple active projects.
  • •Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), with over 10 years’ post-graduate experience; Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a recognised institution.
