Job Summary

Teach general faculty subjects and one or more program-discipline areas to second-language learners in a student-centered environment. Deliver course instruction aligned to syllabi and program goals, using educational technology and assessment strategies to support learning and student success. Serve as an advisor, conduct applied research aligned to faculty interests and national innovation priorities, and contribute to academic events, committees, course management, and continuous improvement activities.

Job Function: Laboratory & Clinical Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Contribute to implementing the system-wide strategy and assist with developing and preserving system-wide and faculty/division policies.
•Teach courses aligned to course syllabi and program goals, using educational technology resources and strategies appropriate for a second-language learning environment.
•Assess student learning by providing continuous feedback, monitoring progress, evaluating students, updating grades, and contributing to question banks/coursework assessments.
•Serve as a student advisor as assigned, maintain office hours, recommend at-risk action plans, and support/mentor students during internships and work placements.
•Conduct applied research, participate in conferences, serve on committees, and support student groups and activities; also manage teaching-related administrative tasks (eCAF/CAR, course management, curriculum revisions).

Key Requirements

•A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required where applicable.
•Or a Master’s degree plus a professional certification relevant to the discipline, with 5 years of teaching and industry experience.
•Or a Bachelor’s degree may be considered for candidates with extensive industry experience and industry certification as per the discipline requirement.
•Appropriate academic professional qualifications as required.
•A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in the relevant discipline; a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience is preferred.

Education:PhD / Doctorate in Medical Laboratory Science
