Job Summary

Control production and load-out of materials in the batch plant by reading dispatch/loading instructions, coordinating batching and deliveries, and ensuring on-time, in-spec concrete. Monitor gauges/dials and machinery, check concrete slump, and perform batching in an efficient and safe way while complying with local, state, federal, environmental, and air quality regulations. Maintain equipment, clear jam-ups, complete time/material records, and become proficient in batching/dispatching/quality-control software.

Key Responsibilities

•Batch concrete loads according to mixed designs and specifications using dispatch orders to understand production needs.
•Monitor gauges, dials, and machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications.
•Coordinate batching and loading of concrete leaving the plant and check concrete slump for proper specifications.
•Conduct batching operations efficiently and safely while complying with local, state, federal regulations plus environmental and air quality requirements.
•Maintain equipment condition through maintenance tasks, repairs, cleaning, removing jam-ups, and maintain time and material records.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•1–2 years of concrete or construction-related experience.
•Must be 18 years or older and pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

•Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed and follow safety and PPE requirements.
