Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide full operational, financial, and educational oversight of the secondary school.
  • •Contribute to the academy’s strategic direction.
  • •Deliver inspiring, empathetic leadership to advance the school’s vision and mission.
  • •Maintain highest standards for student achievement and behaviour, and ensure robust quality assurance across performance areas.
  • •Lead continuous school improvement using rigorous, data-informed self-evaluation and self-reflection, and ensure impactful professional learning for staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a BEd (Bachelor’s) with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent, with a proven record of outstanding teaching.
  • •Master’s in Education (leadership) and/or NPQH preferred (not essential).
  • •Significant experience in a leadership role within a secondary school.
  • •Evidence of ongoing professional learning in education, teaching and learning, and leadership.
  • •Demonstrable track record in sustained school improvement and raising standards.
