Key Responsibilities

  • •Map and review existing postgraduate training programmes in general practice and family medicine/family practice for doctors in the West Bank, including content, institutions, and workforce overview.
  • •Develop a competency-based national postgraduate specialty training programme and curriculum in family medicine/family practice with a participatory approach and modular structure.
  • •Design and support an accreditation pathway for family medicine/family practice, including consultation on mechanisms for accreditation and licensing and guidance for operationalization.
  • •Produce CPD recommendations for family medicine/family practice physicians, including models, system proposal, and piloting considerations in the oPt context.
  • •Facilitate work in partnership with selected educational institutions and stakeholders to deliver reports, submissions for endorsements, and technical guidance for curriculum revision and validation.

Salary: USD 10,000 - 12,500 monthly

Key Requirements

  • •First level university degree in Medicine; advanced degree in Medicine or Public Health, and postgraduate specialization in family medicine/family health/general practice.
  • •Minimum 10 years of clinical experience in family medicine/family practice/general practice.
  • •Documented experience in postgraduate training curricula development/programme design for family medicine/family health.
  • •Practical experience delivering postgraduate training curricula.
  • •Excellent knowledge of WHO PHC standards, UHC, EHSP, and family medicine/family health competencies.
