Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate inputs from operations and supply chain to produce high quality, achievable and cost-effective estimates for customer proposals.
  • •Support fact finds for estimates by gathering information from customers and suppliers’ cost bases.
  • •Support bid review and approval phases and clearly articulate estimate content and basis.
  • •Review build times and support activity durations, estimate future targets, and improve processes.
  • •Track material costs and build times during development as designs mature to understand true production costs.

Key Requirements

  • •Create detailed Manufacturing Build Instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and tooling/fixturing designs.
  • •Understand transition of designs from development to full-scale manufacturing, including Design for Manufacture (DFM).
  • •Use systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Epicor to manage complex Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • •Have a relevant engineering qualification or time served in a similar role.
  • •CIPS qualification (advantageous).
