Job Summary

Lead plant-level Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs for compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Puerto Rico regulations. Direct EHS policies, supervise employees and contractors, and serve as the Puerto Rico representative for corporate EHS matters. Oversee audits, permits, environmental reporting, hazardous waste programs (including RCRA reporting), air monitoring/industrial hygiene, and emergency response readiness. Support lean initiatives and Gemba walks to reduce safety risk.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, direct, and implement organizational EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
•Oversee all EHS activities at plant level and supervise departmental employees and assigned contractors.
•Serve as the plant representative for corporate EHS matters and participate in audit processes (OSHA, PROSHA, EPA, EQB, PRASA, Fire Department).
•Develop and implement environmental and industrial hygiene programs, including air monitoring and actions to control fugitive emissions.
•Manage environmental reporting, permits, hazardous waste site investigations, emergency brigades, and hazardous waste program oversight (including RCRA biennial reporting).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 111,910 - 156,450 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Technology, or equivalent.
•Minimum 5 years of EHS management experience.
•Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations such as OSHA and EPA.
•Computer knowledge (MS Office).
•Certification as PR Professional Engineer (PE), preferred; REM and CEA certifications also preferred.
