Key Responsibilities

  • •Take responsibility for residents’ physical, emotional and social well-being, ensuring needs are met.
  • •Assess residents and develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
  • •Monitor work areas and practices to ensure safe working and compliance with relevant standards, policies and legislation.
  • •Manage the unit alongside clinical duties, including oversight of care and administering and ordering medication.
  • •Coach and guide the team with formal and informal teaching programmes and provide clinical guidance, including for CQC tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid NMC pin and experience ensuring policies and standards are kept to a high clinical standard.
  • •Ability to manage the unit alongside clinical duties, including oversight of care and administering and ordering medication.
  • •Experience reviewing, evaluating, and developing individualised care plans for residents.
  • •Confidence providing clinical guidance to care teams and supporting CQC-related tasks.
  • •Strong effective communication and reporting skills for clinical handovers; strong critical thinking and self-reliance for night shifts.
