Key Responsibilities

  • •Build configurable cloud infrastructure using Terraform, treating infrastructure as code with versioning, testing, and Git-based desired state.
  • •Deploy and operate the Kubernetes data platform components, including lakehouse (Apache Iceberg/Polaris/Trino), streaming (Kafka), orchestration (Airflow), and managed databases on object storage.
  • •Operate data governance and metadata tooling for discoverability, lineage, classification, naming standards, access policies, and retention.
  • •Build data self-service interfaces for provisioning Kafka topics/credentials, Iceberg tables/catalogs, Airflow connections, namespaces, and query access with runbooks and guides.
  • •Own platform reliability at runtime by defining SLIs/SLOs, writing runbooks, leading incident response, and performing safe upgrades without data loss.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (master's if applicable).
  • •Several years building end-to-end production platform/data-platform capabilities with self-service solutions.
  • •Strong, hands-on Kubernetes operations for stateful distributed systems and issue resolution under pressure.
  • •Hands-on operating experience with at least one core data system (Kafka, Iceberg/Trino/Spark, or Airflow) as a platform service.
  • •Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps delivery (Terraform/OpenTofu with FluxCD/Argo CD) and CI/CD release practices (e.g., GitLab).
