Job Summary

Design, deploy, and maintain production-ready computer vision and machine learning models powering Pratt & Whitney’s AI-powered jet engine inspection platform. Partner with CV, software, product, and aviation teams to integrate novel capabilities into production software, run end-to-end model lifecycles (training, evaluation, release), and build data feedback loops that improve edge-case performance. Translate research into clean, modular code and benchmark new predictive features.

•Design, deploy, and maintain advanced computer vision and machine learning models and pipelines for engine inspection.
•Partner cross-functionally to integrate new computer vision capabilities into production software.
•Drive the model lifecycle cadence, including data review, training, evaluation, selection, and production release.
•Build data feedback loops to ingest high-value operational data and edge cases into retraining pipelines.
•Prototype and benchmark novel computer vision and predictive features; translate research into modular production-grade code.

Key Requirements

•B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent hands-on industry experience).
•5+ years developing and deploying machine learning and computer vision models in production environments.
•Solid understanding of modern computer vision architectures (object detection, semantic/instance segmentation, feature matching) using PyTorch.
•Strong Python software engineering skills (OOP, design patterns, unit/integration testing, scalable maintainable code).
•Practical experience with model versioning, tracking, and serving frameworks (e.g., Docker, ONNX Runtime, DVC, MLflow, Weights & Biases).
