Technical Lead, Machine Learning at A1 owns the execution layer of intelligence, translating research into reliable, scalable, production-grade ML systems. You’ll manage end-to-end ML workflows, deploy models under real-world constraints, and collaborate with engineering to integrate ML into backend, mobile, and desktop products while balancing latency, cost, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Own end-to-end ML system execution: data pipelines, training workflows, evaluation systems, inference architecture, and deployment.
•Fine-tune and adapt models using state-of-the-art methods such as LoRA, QLoRA, SFT, DPO, and distillation.
•Architect and operate scalable inference systems, balancing latency, cost, and reliability.
•Design and maintain data systems for high-quality synthetic and real-world training data.
•Implement evaluation pipelines covering performance, robustness, safety, and bias, in partnership with research leadership.

Key Requirements

•Experience delivering end-to-end ML systems including data pipelines, training workflows, evaluation systems, inference architecture, and deployment.
•Proficiency with Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
•Hands-on experience with modern fine-tuning methods (LoRA, QLoRA, SFT, DPO, distillation).
•Experience architecting scalable inference systems with attention to latency and cost.
•Ability to design and maintain data systems for synthetic and real-world training data and to build production-grade code with strong ownership.
