Key Responsibilities

  • •Technically lead or verify flood hydrological assessments supporting flood alleviation schemes, reservoir engineering, and flood risk assessments.
  • •Technically review or verify reports documenting hydrological assessments.
  • •Support business development for water clients on national and international projects.
  • •Mentor staff in hydrological estimation to support professional development.
  • •Deliver thought leadership by representing AECOM at conferences and driving innovation, including AI-enabled solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree (BSc/BEng/MSc) in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, or a related discipline.
  • •Significant experience (more than 15 years) leading the estimation of flood flows using FEH and REFH2 for flood mapping and reservoir engineering.
  • •Deep understanding of statistical hydrological analysis.
  • •Experience working with hydraulic modellers to calibrate hydraulic models.
  • •Chartered member of ICE or CIWEM, with strong GIS skills using QGIS, ArcGIS and/or MapInfo.
