Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain a current, org-wide picture of Shopping’s work: what teams are shipping, what’s planned, and where technical and business dependencies sit.
  • •Influence the enterprise ahead of need by aligning platform support, tools, access, and approvals for future Shopping work.
  • •Prepare and present Shopping progress and goals to Capital One senior leadership to secure decisions, investment, and buy-in.
  • •Navigate enterprise governance (security, risk, compliance, procurement, platform standards) on Shopping’s behalf and broker between teams.
  • •Represent Shopping engineering firsthand by explaining and defending architecture and technical choices to enterprise platform, security, and risk partners; orchestrate cross-team dependencies during major initiatives.

  • •Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
  • •At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
