Job Summary

Design and implement data integration workflows using Apache Hop (Hop pipelines and jobs). Build and maintain ETL processes to extract data from databases, APIs, and files and load into target systems. Optimize and troubleshoot existing workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability, while integrating with systems like Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, and cloud storage. Partner with data engineers and stakeholders on data requirements, and ensure quality, integrity, and security with monitoring, logging, and version control.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement data integration workflows using Apache Hop (Hop pipelines and jobs).
•Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract data from multiple sources and load into target systems.
•Optimize and troubleshoot existing Hop workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
•Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
•Integrate Apache Hop with external systems (Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, AWS S3/GCS/Azure Blob) and implement error handling, logging, monitoring, and version control.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
•4+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Hop or similar ETL tools (Pentaho Data Integration, Talend, Informatica, etc.).
•Strong SQL skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle).
•Experience integrating Apache Hop/Pentaho with external systems and data platforms, including Kafka/Spark/Hadoop and cloud storage.
•Experience with metadata management/workflow automation and version control (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
