Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver civil engineering river and flood related schemes.
  • •Prepare and support business cases for flood protection works.
  • •Develop outline and detailed designs for flood projects, including hydraulic systems and drainage structures.
  • •Design hydraulic structures (e.g., culverts, weirs, walls, outfalls, scour protection) for large infrastructure projects.
  • •Prepare work schedules/specifications, carry out asset inspections, and supervise construction works where required.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualified in civil or flood risk engineering.
  • •Experience post degree in hydraulic designs for river or flood defence works.
  • •Knowledge of flood and river diversion design principles and solutions.
  • •Experience using CAD or Civil 3D.
  • •Site experience, ideally in a site supervision role.
